Our new Algebra books have arrived! They look great! Hone your math skills this summer so you will be ready to dig right in this fall.
The school year continues to keep moving. It is hard to believe it is the third week of the third quarter.
Keep working on that science fair project. The rough draft is due February 13th. Remember, the more you turn in the first time, the more feedback you receive.
In addition to the science fair, we are continuing to study the Earth by focusing on soil formation and then all the various ways that soil can be reshaped. We have covered lots of ground already.

(pun intended!!)
Our study of U.S. History continues with the inventors and trailblazers of the 1800s. We continue to look at the many ways our country grew during the first 50 years of that century.
Remember there are parent-teacher conferences next week and the school auction is on the 21st!!!
Enjoy the sunshine and longer days!
Mrs. Jahnke
It is time to get that experiment started. The rough draft is due in two weeks and you really want some results if possible. The more that is done for the rough draft, the more feedback you will receive.

HAVE FUN!!!!
"Heartfelt Memories" is the theme of the 11th annual school auction. Please mark your calendar for the evening of February 21 and plan on joining us at the Ramada Inn.
Our junior high classes are collecting items for the car care basket. Anything that has to do with maintaining or improving your vehicle would be great. Just send the item(s) along with your child.
We will also be working on a project during class. Let Mrs. Jahnke know if you would like to help with this special event.
Most importantly, pray for the auction and its success. It is a crucial part of maintaining the quality Lutheran education that the school provides to the students.
It is science fair year at Grace Lutheran. This sentence often brings joy or fear depending on your perspective.
Each student should have brought home the introductory letter last week. This letter gives a good overview of the purpose of the science fair and basic keys to the project. If you did not receive a copy, please be sure to contact me. I'll be happy to send another copy.
Listed below are the due dates for the various parts of the project. Each due date is worth points and is vital to completing a successful project.
We are off to a great start with project ideas.
