Beginning January 2, we will begin an 11-week unit on World War II, Hitler and Germany, the Holocaust, and Anne Frank:  The Diary of a Young Girl.  At the end of the unit, we will synthesize all that we have learned and use it for the topics of various writing assignments.  Our best writing samples will be submitted to the Kidz Forum, which will be published in the March 25 issue.  If you have any artifacts related to these topics that you'd like to share, please send them with your child.  If you have any relatives who served during World War II, we'd be interested in hearing those stories passed along or even first-hand from an actual veteran!  Feel free to join us for any part of this unit to share your input and knowledge!
